Sensex up 37pts; Ranbaxy, Grasim up 2%

The Sensex is now up 37 points at 11,744.

Ranbaxy and Grasim have surged 2% each to Rs 404 and Rs 2,266, respectively.

Reliance and Tata Motors have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 1,132 and Rs 857, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, Maruti, ITC, Wipro and HLL have advanced 1% each to Rs 720, Rs 865, Rs 187, Rs 530 and Rs 237, respectively.

Tata Steel has slipped 1.8% to Rs 508. Reliance Energy has dropped 1.4% to Rs 442.

Reliance Communications, NTPC and Hindalco are down over 1% each to Rs 305, Rs 126 and Rs 174, respectively.

Out of 2,557 stocks traded so far, 1,421 have declined, 1,066 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
