Sensex up 38pts; ITC, Satyam surge 4%

The Sensex is now up 38 points at 13,670.

ITC has surged 3.6% to Rs 172. Satyam has flared up 3.5% to Rs 465.

Tata Steel and Gujarat Ambuja have rallied 3% each to Rs 473 and Rs 126, respectively. Dr.Reddy's has moved up 2.5% to Rs 699.

Grasim and ACC have advanced around 2% each to Rs 2,320 and Rs 934, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, HLL and Hindalco are up over 1% each.

Reliance Communications has dropped 2.5% to Rs 422. Reliance has slipped 1.4% to Rs 1,393.

Out of 2,312 stocks traded so far, 1,200 have advanced, 1,062 have declined and 50 are unchanged.
