Sensex up 87pts; Guj Amb perks up 2%

The Sensex is now up 87 points at 14,178.

Gujarat Ambuja, Tata Motors and Reliance Energy advanced over 2% each to Rs 140, Rs 896 and Rs 524, respectively.

Wipro and ACC have flared up nearly 2% each to Rs 624 and Rs 1,038, respectively.

ITC, ONGC, SBI, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel are up around 1.5% each at Rs 177, Rs 917, Rs 1,155, Rs 467 and Rs 717, respectively.

Tata Steel and HLL have slipped over 1% each to Rs 459 and Rs 206, respectively.

Out of 2,556 stocks traded so far, 1,292 have advanced, 1,202 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
