The stocks of companies engaged in the tobacco business have cruised along in the last three months from August to November, barring a few on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Share price of ITC rose from Rs 1029.05 on August 2, to today's close of Rs 1127.65, up 9.58 per cent on the BSE.

During the same period the stock price of VST Industries declined from Rs 216.00 to Rs 202.70, down 6.15 per cent.

Godfrey Phillips increased from Rs 383.35 to Rs 430.00 up 12.16 per cent and GTC gained from Rs 15.95 to Rs 26.05, up 6.33 per cent.

Share price of RDB Industries gained from Rs 4.99 to Rs 6.51, up 30.46 per cent, RTCL increased from Rs 1.10 to Rs 1.80, up 63.63 per cent.
