Sugar closes quiet on some support

The wholesale sugar prices closed on a quiet note in the national capital today following restricted supply amid reduced offtake.

Market analysts said restricted buying and tight supply in the market mainly kept the prices unaltered.

Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal.  

Sugar ready M-30 2,925-3,075 and S-30 2,900-3,025
Mill delivery M-30 2,750-2,950 and S-30 2,725-2,925

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,920, Asmoli 2,900, Mawana 2,830, Titabi 2,840, Thanabhavan 2,730, Budhana 2720 and Dorala 2,815
