TCS gains 3%; HDFC down 4.3%

The NSE Nifty has gained 25 points at 4,216.

BHEL has gained 3.5% to Rs 1,440.  TCS has advanced 3% to Rs 870. Hindalco has gained 2.9% to Rs 148. Ranbaxy has advanced 2.9% to Rs 540. Maruti is up 2.3% to Rs 694.  Bharti has moved up 2.1% to Rs 766.

Reliance, ONGC, Tata steel, HUL, RCom, NTPC, Reliance Infra, Ambuja Cements, DLF, ACC and HDFC Bank are the other gainers.

HDFC has plunged 4.3% to Rs 2,136. Tata Motors has shed 3.7% at Rs 460.

ITC has slipped 3.4% to Rs 183. Infosys has tumbled 3% to Rs 1,696.  Wipro has dropped 2.7% to Rs 452. 
 
Satyam, Cipla, Jaiprakash Associates, ICICI Bank, Cipla, Grasim and SBI are the other losers.
