Urad, its dal up in restricted trade

Urad and its dal prices move up by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on retailers demand. Traders said scattered enquiries from retailers helped urad and its dal prices to trade higher.

Meanwhile, the state-run MMTC invited tenders for the sale of 2,000 tonnes of pulses in the domestic market. In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local gained Rs 50 each to Rs 4,000-4,400 and Rs 4,900-5,300, respectively.

Its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,400-5,900 and Rs 5,350-5,450 per quintal, respectively.
