Wipro rises on talks of expansion

Shares of Wipro rose by 4.59 per cent to close the day at Rs 251.95 on reports that the company is considering further expansion in Uttarakhand. Besides its existing two units at Haridwar and Kotdwar, the company is planning to set up new units under the state government’s new policy, which has declared a slew of incentives for a period of 10 years.
The stock made an intraday high of Rs 254.95 and a low of Rs 230.55, with trading volumes of 3,26,194 shares. The stockof the information technology firm has fallen by 6.5 per cent in the last one week.
