AMAs: The Weeknd- Favourite Soul/R&B artist

The American Music Awards kicked off on November 22 night, honoring the biggest names in the music industry.

R&B veteran Prince, who earned a rousing applause, presented the first award of the night to The Weeknd for Favourite Album - Soul/R&B for 'Beauty Behind the Madness.'

Hosted by Jennifer Lopez, the fan-voted AMAs, which offer up the year's most popular music acts, with a spotlight on performances, is being held in Los Angeles.
