The Bihar Police on Sunday suspended three police inspectors and three female constables, while putting 11 home guards off duty for six months in connection with Begusarai stampede incident.
At least three people had died and ten others were injured in a stampede at Simaria Ghat in Bihar's Begusarai district, during Kartik Purnima celebrations on Saturday.
The reason behind the incident is yet unknown.
Kartik Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day of the Karthika month of the Hindu lunar calendar.
