A children book, 'Tous a poil,' (All in the Buff) has sparked controversy in French for its nude content.

The book, which aims at teaching children not to be obsessed with the idea of getting perfect bodies, has comical drawings of common people like policemen, teachers and bakers among others - taking off their clothes.

The leader of main centre-right opposition party of France, Jean-Francois Cope said that his blood ran cold when he got to know about the book.

Cope further added that book has been forced on primary school children as part of a campaign by an "ideologically rigid" socialist government to weaken traditional attitudes to gender and the family.
