ANI New Delhi [India]

The Centre on Wednesday approached the Supreme Court requesting it to transfer all cases challenging validity of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) pending in various high courts to the Delhi High Court.

Responding to which, the apex court said that it may hear the matter on Monday.

There are 21 petitions challenging the validity of the Act pending in various high courts.

The central Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) came into effect on May 1, 2017, a year after it was passed by Parliament.
