"I believe that all the parties whether big or small come here with the intention of maintaining peace and unity. Therefore, I feel that everybody should get a chance to speak, but at the same time I want the ruling party, opposition party and other parties to have coordination among them which we need to work upon and it will be my duty to maintain that coordination."
Although Mahajan was not very specific, but assured that all the targets such as bills or proposals will be met in the right way.
Taking into account the interest of the new comers in the parliament, she said, "As there are more than 300 newcomers in the parliament, so they need to be taught how to work in a committee."
Commenting on the media, Mahajan described it as a connecting bridge between the parliament and the people of the nation.
"I believe that media is the connecting bridge between the parliament and the people. Media should give more news of positive discussions in the parliament to the public," said Mahajan.
She ended by saying that along with the Women Reservation Bill, she will also keep other things in mind, and as of now, the budget would be the first priority of the House.
