Did Deepika Padukone opt for Karan Johar's next over Bhansali's?

Deepika Padukone has reportedly turned down Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next 'Bajirao Mastani' because she had given her nod to Karan Johar's upcoming film 'Shuddhi'.

A source close to the actress said that the dates Bhansali wanted from Padukone have been allotted to Johar's film and that is why the actress is not in a position to play Mastani in the Bhansali's film.

An insider added that a look test was also done, but due to her date issues, the 28-year-old actress could not sign on the dotted line.
