Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) today announced recalling of around 2.24 lakh units of its premium sports utility vehicles to replace faulty airbag inflators in the largest exercise in the country.
The vehicles of previous generations such as CR-V, Civic, City and hatchback Jazz, which were manufactured between 2003 and 2012 are recalled by the company.
HCIL is likely to replace airbag inflators of 223,578 vehicles free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India in a phased manner starting from 12th October 2015.
The customers who will be directly under the companies niche, will be covered under this campaign by submitting their 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite of the company's website (www.hondacarindia.com).
