International music streaming service Rdio based in San Francisco has made an entry in India after taking over the domestic streaming company Dhingana.

According to TechCrunch, Rdio's arrival in India has been quite likely since its acquisition of Dhingana in early 2014.

Rdio comes with a huge library of 32 million songs both Indian and international.

Rdio's CEA Anthony Bay said that the service will be an international-domestic hybrid in India.

He also said that one of the reasons for their entry was that they had much respect for streaming companies competing locally in India and that they have brought the "DNA from Dhingana into Rdio's India offering".

Outside the U.S., India is Rdio's biggest office, said the CEO adding that there is a great opportunity in India.
