Jim Carrey in talks to be 'Sonic the Hedgehog's villain

American-Canadian actor Jim Carrey is in final talks to star in 'Sonic the Hedgehog' movie.

Carrey, according to Deadline, is negotiating to star as Robotnik - a mad scientist and Sonic's archenemy - in the Paramonut film based on the Sega video game franchise.

It will be helmed by Jeff Fowler, who is known for his 2005 Oscar-nominated short, 'Gopher Broke'.

The flick will hit the big screens on November 15, 2019.
