Karthik Gowda appears at RT Nagar police station

Union Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda's son Karthik who has been accused of rape and cheating by a Kannada actress, appeared at the RT Nagar police station for interrogation in Bangalore on Saturday.

A Bangalore civil court has granted anticipatory bail to Karthik. The court had earlier issued an arrest warrant against him last Thursday.

A Kannada actress had claimed that she had married Karthik on June 5 after meeting him on May 8.

While Karthik had got engaged to another woman in Kushalnagar, Kodagu, his father Sadananda Gowda rejected the allegations against his son alleging a conspiracy.

He had also said that it seemed suspicious that the woman had filed the complaint hours after his son Karthik's engagement.
