Mark Wahlberg wants to wipe criminal record clean to become a cop

Mark Wahlberg wants to have a clean slate so he can become a reserve officer, it has been revealed.
The 43-year-old actor has filed legal docs in Boston with the Massachusetts Parole Board, asking to expunge his 1988 felony assault conviction of beating two men and leaving one partially blind, TMZ.com reported.
According to sources, Wahlberg has become interested in police work as a result of researching roles for movies, including "The Other Guys," "Max Payne" and "The Departed.
