MP CM Chouhan to leave for UK today, set to meet investors

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will begin his three-day visit to the United Kingdom from today.

The visit is in response to an invitation by Priti Patel, UK's Secretary of State for International Development.

With the aim of setting up defence equipment manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh, Chouhan will meet Maghin Tamilarasan, vice president of Rolls Royce, which specialises in providing integrated power and propulsion solutions.

Chouhan is also expected to meet Kevin sabin, the Director (Business Development) of Hargreaves Industrial Services.

The company provides operation and maintenance materials handling services to power, port, steel, water and other industrial sectors in the UK.

 

Chouhan will meet Purico Group founder Nathu Ram Puri to discuss possible investment opportunities.

Chouhan will also attend a dinner hosted by Gopichand Hinduja, the co-chairman of the Hinduja Group.

On September 27, Chouhan will meet Professor Mike Parker Chairman of Indo-UK Institute of Health and Dr. Ajay Gupta CEO, Mike Nithacrianakis of Department for International Trade, Rajesh Agarwal, the Deputy Mayor of London and address a seminar on opportunities in Madhya Pradesh organised by CII and UK India Business Council.
