Elle Fanning, Naomi Watts and Susan Sarandon are set to star in the upcoming film 'Three Generations.'
The indie drama project, which would be helmed by Gaby Dellal, would centre on teen girl, Ray (Fanning), who's having a sex change while her single mother, Maggie (Watts), is trying to accept having to raise her only daughter as a son. Meanwhile, Maggie's mother, Dolly (Sarandon), a quick-witted lesbian music manager, faces hard time adjusting with Ray's life-altering decision and Maggie's inability to move out of the house in which she grew up.
The film, which has been budgeted in the 5 million dollars range, was penned by Nikole Beckwith, and would be produced by Big Beach co-founders Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub with Dorothy Berwin of InFilm Productions.
Watts, 46, along with Leah Holzer and Daniele Melia of Big Beach and Peter Pastorelli will executive produce the project which will begin production in New York in November.
