Four suspects have been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for their alleged role in triggering off a series of bomb blasts in Patna, Bihar before and during a BJP rally that was being addressed by the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on October 27, 2013.
Media reports quoted NIA sources, as saying that among those arrested was Hyder Ali, who is said to have masterminded the entire operation.
Three other accused-Taufeeq Ansari, Mojibullah and Numan Ansari - were picked up from Ranchi, the NIA sources were quoted, as saying on Wednesday.
The bomb explosions took place on platform No 10 of the Patna Railway Station and near the
Gandhi Maidan, where the BJP rally was eventually held.
So far, eight persons have been arrested in connection with the case.
