Out-of-favour Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has expressed that he wants to make a strong comeback into the national squad after completing a short-stint with England's county club Worcestershire.

The 37-year-old ace spinner said that he was looking forward to playing once again in the upcoming domestic cricket season in Pakistan, adding that he was ready to take on the challenge of regaining his place in the national squad, PakPassion reported.

Ajmal, who missed the World Cup due to an illegal bowling action, insisted that he was confident of performing well again in domestic cricket in Pakistan and prove his critics wrong.

The Doosra specialist added that it would be great to represent his nation again as international cricket is the pinnacle for any cricketer.

Ajmal, who has claimed 178 Test and 184 ODI wickets, struggled to find a place in the national squad after being cleared to bowl again by the ICC.
