PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri to arrive in Pak to lead anti-govt. protest

Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief, Dr Tahirul Qadri, is expected to arrive in Pakistan shortly to lead an anti-government alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and other political allies.

With tensions running high, at least seven people, including two women,were killed in a violent clash between PAT supporters and police personnel in Lahore's Model Town last week.

The government, according toa report in the Dawn, has imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi that prohibits the gathering of more than four persons at a place.

It has also blocked all routes to and from Islamabad Airport.

PAT supporters are reported to be holding protests in support of Dr. Qadri in various cities.
