The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will lodge an appeal for fast bowler Mohammad Amir under the International Cricket Council's (ICC) revised anti-corruption code to make him return to domestic cricket but ruled out appealing for Former Pakistan Test captain Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif.

Amir, former captain Butt and Asif were all banned for spot-fixing during the Pakistan team's tour of England in 2010.

PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan said that the board will file an appeal with the ICC within a week for Amir, reports News24.

Khan said that their legal department is preparing the document for the appeal but they had no plans to appeal for Butt and Asif.

Amir's case is different since he has accepted his guilt unlike Butt and Asif, said Khan.
