Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded an official welcome at a ceremony here on Monday.
The Prime Minister inspected a Guard of Honour, before shaking hands with the South Korean dignitaries present. He then waved out to people who had gathered in large numbers, before departing for restricted talks with President Park Geun Hye.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in South Korea from Mongolia. He had earlier visited China.
He is also scheduled to meet United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
