Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Korean veterans at the Seoul National Cemetery on Monday morning.

The Prime Minister, who travelled straight to the cemetery from the airport, also laid a wreath to honour the memory of the veterans buried there.

Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to twitter to share the information.

"Honouring the memory of the brave. PM @narendramodi goes directly from airport to the Seoul National Cemetery," he posted.

The Seoul National Cemetery is reserved for veterans, including those who died in the Korean independence movement, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Prime Minister Modi arrived in South Korea after conducting a successful trip to Mongolia, the first Indian prime minister to visit that country.
