Prateik Babbar recently celebrated his late mother, Smita Patil's birthday by cutting a cake with kids from 'Save the Children' NGO in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, the 26-year-old actor revealed his mother's support for underprivileged women and children.
"My mother always supported women and children, specially the underprivileged and those who do not have all the necessary facilities in life. So that's why I think I should celebrate her birthday like this. So I have cut a small cake with these kids and I think she will be happy, very happy", he said.
Patil, who was married to actor Raj Babbar, died in 1986 following childbirth complications.
