Pregnant woman killed for objecting to smoking


A pregnant woman was allegedly strangled to death in the wee hours of Saturday by a co-passenger when she objected to the latter a onboard a train.

Speaking to ANI, Officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police, Shahjahanpur, AK confirmed that the accused, Sonu Yadav, was in one of the upper berths of the train following which the woman objected to the same.

Yadav has been arrested and charged with Sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code, added.

The victim was travelling from to in Jallianwala Bagh Express train.
