United Kingdom athletics chairman Ed Warner has claimed that the doping allegations made against athletics coach Alberto Salazar could dog long-distance and middle-distance runner Mo Farah's career.

Warner further opined that Farah has found himself in a no-win situation, adding that his personal advice to the Olympic champion would be to suspend his relationship with Salazar.

A BBC investigation alleged that Salazar, who was hired as Farah's coach in 2011, doped United States 10,000 metre record holder Galen Rupp in 2002, when the athlete was 16 years old.

However, Salazar has denied the allegations.

After the incident, Farah pulled out of the Diamond League meeting in Birmingham, claiming that he is emotionally and physically drained.
