Criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for lampooning previous governments on foreign soil, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday said the former had sunk to a new low by referring to the previous UPA regime in the negative.
She further criticized the government's tax regime, saying that it only favoured some corporates.
The Congress president also said that the economy is faltering and exports are falling and slammed the government for its indifference to the neglect and distress of farmers.
Gandhi said that her party would take the fight to the people and added that the stream of provocative statements from members of the ruling establishment continues unabated.
