An Islamic body in the Central Asian country of Uzbekistan has reportedly justified the recent Pakistan Taliban-led terror strike on an army-run school in Peshawar in which over 140 children and teachers were killed.
In a document available to Pakistani media, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) takes the name of Allah and his messenger Prophet Muhammad while praising what it terms a "Martyrdom Operation" for the restoration of "the Law of Equality".
In its statement, the IMU describes the Peshawar strike as "the first of the series of the expected military operations against the schools and college systems run by the American dogs- also known as Pakistani faujis (army)".
It describes the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and government staff as apostates and justifies the fact that their sons and daughters, and school teachers were killed for studying "worldly and military subjects".
According to reports appearing in Pakistani media, the IMU statement particularly praises the leadership of Muhammad Khorasani for exhorting the six or seven persons under his command to become "martyrdom-seeking Mujahids" by penetrating highly-secured check posts to carry out their armed strike against the school or college situated in the midst of the military town.
It justifies the killing of 148 persons, including 142 children (students) by saying their deaths was a response to the Pakistan security forces "carrying out tremendous crimes and countless atrocities, such as killing the wives and children of Muslims, imprisoning, raping and disgracing their honor", and selling them to Un-Islamic governments for several years.
In its statement, reported by media in Pakistan, the IMU claims these crimes and atrocities by the Pakistan Army and government have been repeatedly committed since the collapse of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in 2001", and blames former president-general Pervez Musharraf squarely for the same.
It also mentions the storming by troops of the Lal Masjid in Islamabad in 2007 and what it calls "the murder of hundreds of innocent infants and children" by heavy bombardments in the tribal areas during the years of 2004-2014.
The IMU categorically also condemns the security operations in the Swat Valley and in other parts of North Waziristan.
It describes the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb military operation as "infamous", and accuses the Pakistan Government of rejecting the Islamic Shariah and accepting western democracy as their motto to wage a war against "Mujahids".
The IMU statement accuses the "apostate" Government of Pakistan of betraying the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan", and "recognizes the martyrdom operation in Peshawar as justified and defensive one".
The IMU also expresses its enormous happiness after hearing the casualties of the Pakistan army through its statement.
In direct messages to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, the IMU says, "Oh Nawas and Raheel! Listen carefully to what we say! You'll harvest what you sow! You have signed to the death certificate of your children by killing the children of Muslims..."
It further warns that "If you do not take lesson from it and continue your atrocities towards Muslims, then you had better gather all your soldiers in the borders and military camps and re-allocate them as the doorkeepers to your schools and kufr institutions where your spouses work. Because our jihad of blood for blood and life for life has entered to the new stage, insha Allah!"
The IMU statement dated December 17 is signed by its spokesman Yahya Hikmatiy.
