Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain asked the Bihar Government whether they would also roll out the food security scheme on August 20, along with Delhi and Haryana.
"We know that the Bihar Government is also advocating the food security bill. BJP wants to ask the Bihar Chief Minister, like Congress ruled states of Delhi and Haryana, he will also roll out the food security scheme in Bihar on August 20, to commemorate the birthday of the Late Congress Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi?" he questioned.
He further said that JD-U leaders have become the newest member to have joined the campaign, to applaud every move of the Congress.
"JD-U leaders sit in their office and just talk on political matters, how they support Congress' motives while always being very critical of the BJP. But we want to tell all the Congress supporters that this country runs on mandates and not on ordinance," he added.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi chaired a meeting at her residence in New Delhi on July 13, which was attended by Congress Chief Ministers and PCC chiefs.
The party chief ministers and PCC chiefs discussed the steps for implementation of the Food Security scheme. Haryana and Delhi indicated that the scheme could be implemented from August 20.
