Australia stock market finished session marginal lower on Friday, 25 May 2018, as losses in shares of materials and energy issues offset by gains in consumer staples and consumer discretionary stocks. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 was down 0.07%, to 6,032.8 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index fell 0.05%, to 6,140.9 points. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 633 to 554 and 390 ended unchanged. The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 10.67% to 11.935.
