Capital Goods shares tank

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index falling 527.73 points or 4.32% at 11696.11 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Finolex Cables Ltd (down 13.36%), Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 10.57%),Bharat Forge Ltd (down 9.44%),SKF India Ltd (down 7.95%),HEG Ltd (down 7.74%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 7.2%), NBCC (India) Ltd (down 6.71%), Schaeffler India Ltd (down 5.17%), Thermax Ltd (down 5.1%), and Graphite India Ltd (down 5.06%).

On the other hand, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 2.01%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 1.55%), and Siemens Ltd (up 0.44%) moved up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 263.1 or 0.91% at 28606.41.

The Nifty 50 index was down 159 points or 1.88% at 8309.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 399.04 points or 3.92% at 9783.95.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 104.05 points or 2.88% at 3514.43.

On BSE,530 shares were trading in green, 1743 were trading in red and 150 were unchanged.
