Capital Goods stocks rise

Capital Goods stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index increasing 68.03 points or 0.4% at 17030.64 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 4.77%), Solar Industries India Ltd (up 1.84%),NBCC (India) Ltd (up 1.81%),Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (up 1.41%),Elgi Equipments Ltd (up 1.25%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Schaeffler India Ltd (up 1.19%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 1.15%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 0.89%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 0.68%), and Honeywell Automation India Ltd (up 0.67%).

On the other hand, Thermax Ltd (down 0.87%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (down 0.68%), and Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 0.64%) turned lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 116.39 or 0.31% at 36865.38.

The Nifty 50 index was down 29.75 points or 0.27% at 10916.45.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 14.78 points or 0.12% at 12609.37.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 6.91 points or 0.16% at 4243.31.

On BSE,742 shares were trading in green, 573 were trading in red and 77 were unchanged.
