The Mainland China share market finished session marginally lower on Monday, 11 May 2020, as risk sentiments muted amid renewed concerns over the coronavirus outbreak after Wuhan reported its first cluster of infections since the lockdown was lifted a month ago. However, market losses were capped after the China's central bank signaled to step up counter-cyclical adjustments to support the economy and make monetary policy more flexible to fend off financial risks. At closing bell, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.02%, or 0.54 point, to 2,894.80. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.24%, or 4.43 points, to 1,804.74. The blue-chip CSI300 index shed 0.09%, or 3.44 points, to 3,960.18.
