Consumer Durables stocks edge lower

Consumer Durables stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index decreasing 72.06 points or 0.28% at 25977.84 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Orient Electric Ltd (down 1.22%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 0.91%),TTK Prestige Ltd (down 0.69%),Voltas Ltd (down 0.43%),Symphony Ltd (down 0.39%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Titan Company Ltd (down 0.26%), Rajesh Exports Ltd (down 0.24%), and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (down 0.04%).

On the other hand, Blue Star Ltd (up 0.46%), and V I P Industries Ltd (up 0.26%) turned up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 221.14 or 0.54% at 41188.

The Nifty 50 index was up 64.8 points or 0.54% at 12120.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 14.83 points or 0.1% at 14837.11.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 2.94 points or 0.06% at 5088.13.

On BSE,1255 shares were trading in green, 1071 were trading in red and 171 were unchanged.
