Oil and Gas stocks rise
Oil and Gas stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index increasing 102.91 points or 0.7% at 14878.64 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (up 1.93%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 1.47%),Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 1.29%),Castrol India Ltd (up 1.01%),Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (up 0.41%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Reliance Industries Ltd (up 0.38%), and GAIL (India) Ltd (up 0.2%).
On the other hand, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 0.78%), Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 0.59%), and Petronet LNG Ltd (down 0.23%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 120.51 or 0.32% at 38334.98.
The Nifty 50 index was up 30 points or 0.26% at 11371.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 12.14 points or 0.09% at 12799.73.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 4.71 points or 0.11% at 4343.62.
On BSE,718 shares were trading in green, 599 were trading in red and 83 were unchanged.
