Consumer Durables stocks rise

Consumer Durables stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 219.1 points or 0.82% at 26954.13 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Titan Company Ltd (up 1.56%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 0.7%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 0.62%), Orient Electric Ltd (up 0.55%), Symphony Ltd (up 0.38%), and Voltas Ltd (up 0.07%), were the top gainers.

On the other hand, V I P Industries Ltd (down 0.8%), and Rajesh Exports Ltd (down 0.41%) turned lower.

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 67.25 or 0.16% at 41238.78.

 

The Nifty 50 index was down 8 points or 0.07% at 12129.95.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 59.85 points or 0.41% at 14789.83.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 16.66 points or 0.33% at 5124.09.

On BSE,726 shares were trading in green, 592 were trading in red and 61 were unchanged.
