Consumer Durables shares gain
Consumer Durables stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index rising 122.79 points or 0.47% at 26475.48 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, V I P Industries Ltd (up 1.83%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 1.37%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 1%), Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 0.91%), Orient Electric Ltd (up 0.59%), and Titan Company Ltd (up 0.36%), were the top gainers.
On the other hand, Symphony Ltd (down 1.31%), Blue Star Ltd (down 0.73%), and Voltas Ltd (down 0.14%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 169.69 or 0.41% at 41443.5.
The Nifty 50 index was down 51.45 points or 0.42% at 12196.8.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 44.68 points or 0.3% at 14890.64.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.26 points or 0.4% at 5124.2.
On BSE,774 shares were trading in green, 772 were trading in red and 78 were unchanged.
