Net outflow of Rs 309.80 crore on 16 July 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 309.80 crore on Tuesday, 16 July 2013, higher than net outflow of Rs 176.90 crore on Monday, 15 July 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 309.80 crore on Tuesday, 16 July 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2509.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 2819.20 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 309.70 crore from the secondary equity markets on 16 July 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2509.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 2819.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 183.25 points or 0.91% to settle at 19,851.23 on that day, its lowest closing level since 11 July 2013.

 

There was an outflow of Rs 0.10 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 16 July 2013.

FIIs have sold shares worth net Rs 5887.40 crore in July 2013 so far (till 16 July 2013). FIIs sold shares worth Rs 11026.90 crore in June 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 66290.90 crore in 2013 so far (till 16 July 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.

There are a total of 1,754 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
