FMCG stocks slide

FMCG stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index decreasing 10.84 points or 0.09% at 11471.01 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Parag Milk Foods Ltd (down 15.42%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (down 8.74%),Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (down 5.88%),DFM Foods Ltd (down 4.79%),Venkys (India) Ltd (down 4.05%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Coastal Corporation Ltd (down 3.92%), Apex Frozen Foods Ltd (down 2.47%), Avanti Feeds Ltd (down 2.34%), Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (down 1.94%), and Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (down 1.83%).

On the other hand, Associated Alcohols & Breweries Ltd (up 7.56%), CCL Products (India) Ltd (up 4.44%), and Godrej Agrovet Ltd (up 3.33%) turned up.

 

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 352.89 or 0.86% at 41332.51.

The Nifty 50 index was up 115.45 points or 0.96% at 12146.95.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 27.94 points or 0.19% at 14804.27.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 7.28 points or 0.14% at 5119.83.

On BSE,1152 shares were trading in green, 1192 were trading in red and 165 were unchanged.
