FMCG stocks slide

FMCG stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index decreasing 111.36 points or 1.02% at 10828.43 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, KRBL Ltd (down 4.99%), Future Consumer Ltd (down 4.99%),Heritage Foods Ltd (down 3.68%),Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd (down 3.66%),Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd (down 2.95%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Marico Ltd (down 2.42%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (down 2.31%), Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (down 2.31%), Nestle India Ltd (down 2.26%), and Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (down 2.15%).

On the other hand, Waterbase Ltd (up 5.73%), Godrej Agrovet Ltd (up 5.11%), and Tata Coffee Ltd (up 5.09%) turned up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 275.95 or 0.87% at 32019.03.

The Nifty 50 index was up 56.45 points or 0.61% at 9338.75.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 68.62 points or 0.64% at 10848.18.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.04 points or 0.53% at 3801.45.

On BSE,1133 shares were trading in green, 1050 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
