FMCG stocks slide

FMCG stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index decreasing 118.87 points or 1.02% at 11559.22 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (down 9.9%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (down 7.72%),Mcleod Russel India Ltd (down 7.54%),Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (down 6.34%),Godrej Agrovet Ltd (down 5.06%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd (down 3.78%), Waterbase Ltd (down 3.69%), Radico Khaitan Ltd (down 3.31%), Coastal Corporation Ltd (down 2.97%), and Apex Frozen Foods Ltd (down 2.89%).

On the other hand, Eveready Industries India Ltd (up 12.97%), KRBL Ltd (up 4.05%), and Nath Bio-Genes (India) Ltd (up 4.03%) turned up.

 

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 140.95 or 0.34% at 41318.84.

The Nifty 50 index was down 39.35 points or 0.32% at 12135.3.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 5.32 points or 0.04% at 14736.4.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 16.62 points or 0.33% at 5079.79.

On BSE,953 shares were trading in green, 1411 were trading in red and 151 were unchanged.
