Telecom stocks ease
Telecom stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Telecom index decreasing 13.94 points or 1.29% at 1069.73 at 13:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Telecom index, Bharti Airtel Ltd (up 1.65%), ITI Ltd (up 1.43%), Bharti Infratel Ltd (up 0.32%), HFCL Ltd (up 0.27%), Vodafone Idea Ltd (up 0.24%), and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (up 0.14%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Reliance Communications Ltd (up 4.35%), Vindhya Telelinks Ltd (up 2.02%), and OnMobile Global Ltd (up 1.96%) turned up.
At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 275.95 or 0.87% at 32019.03.
The Nifty 50 index was up 56.45 points or 0.61% at 9338.75.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 68.62 points or 0.64% at 10848.18.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.04 points or 0.53% at 3801.45.
On BSE,1133 shares were trading in green, 1050 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
