Commodity exchange operator MCX galloped 4.41% to Rs 609.90, extending Tuesday's 3.90% rise triggered by stakeholder Financial Technologies (India) (FTIL) receiving nine non-binding bids in the sale of its 24% stake in MCX. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.
FTIL made the announcement on Saturday, 12 April 2014. Shares of MCX rose 3.90% to Rs 584.15 on Tuesday, 15 April 2014. The stock has risen 8.47% in two trading sessions from Rs 562.25 on Friday, 11 April 2014.
Gujarat State Petronet, which operates natural gas transmission network, spurted 4.04% to Rs 72.10. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 73.70 in intraday today.
