Healthcare shares rise

Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 84.87 points or 0.6% at 14165.36 at 09:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 5%), Marksans Pharma Ltd (up 3.96%),Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 3.9%),Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd (up 3.74%),Cadila Healthcare Ltd (up 3.05%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were RPG Life Sciences Ltd (up 2.77%), Granules India Ltd (up 2.58%), Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd (up 2.35%), Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 2.31%), and Shalby Ltd (up 2.21%).

On the other hand, Ipca Laboratories Ltd (down 2.5%), Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (down 1.61%), and Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 1.57%) moved lower.

 

At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 100.59 or 0.26% at 38510.07.

The Nifty 50 index was up 36.65 points or 0.33% at 11287.65.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 0.48 points or 0% at 13552.91.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 8.94 points or 0.19% at 4703.83.

On BSE,848 shares were trading in green, 593 were trading in red and 68 were unchanged.
