Healthcare stocks rise

Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 21.31 points or 0.16% at 13467.46 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, RPG Life Sciences Ltd (up 2.45%), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (up 2.25%),FDC Ltd (up 1.54%),Laurus Labs Ltd (up 1.51%),Hester Biosciences Ltd (up 1.49%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Procter & Gamble Health Ltd (up 1.25%), Ipca Laboratories Ltd (up 1.23%), Fortis Healthcare Ltd (up 1.05%), Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd (up 0.96%), and Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (up 0.77%).

On the other hand, Medicamen Biotech Ltd (down 2.55%), Panacea Biotec Ltd (down 1.8%), and Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (down 1.63%) turned lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 64.96 or 0.16% at 41493.61.

The Nifty 50 index was down 23 points or 0.19% at 12198.65.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 4.12 points or 0.03% at 13391.25.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 3.67 points or 0.08% at 4689.84.

On BSE,634 shares were trading in green, 657 were trading in red and 57 were unchanged.
