Healthcare stocks edge higher

Healthcare stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 86.72 points or 0.63% at 13821.03 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 4.96%), Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 4.01%),Granules India Ltd (up 3.92%),Thyrocare Technologies Ltd (up 2.88%),Ipca Laboratories Ltd (up 2.81%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.56%), Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 2.45%), Indoco Remedies Ltd (up 2.1%), Biocon Ltd (up 2.07%), and Fortis Healthcare Ltd (up 1.98%).

On the other hand, Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (down 4.08%), Procter & Gamble Health Ltd (down 3.41%), and Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd (down 3.36%) turned lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 57.84 or 0.15% at 39793.37.

The Nifty 50 index was down 9.1 points or 0.08% at 11652.75.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 26.96 points or 0.19% at 14317.74.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 15.2 points or 0.31% at 4939.96.

On BSE,558 shares were trading in green, 970 were trading in red and 67 were unchanged.
